Red Museum

Set Designs and Experience Enhancement

Over in Sacramento there is an art warehouse called The Red Museum. They host jam packed multifaceted art and music events.

I was able to assist in transforming the warehouse into whatever theme was going on at the time.

Above is from Makebelief's Confusion Fruit album release show.  I asked Max Rude to create glitch fruit visuals to go with the theme. I found TV's and routed his DVD so that they can be playing on all of the monitors on loop. Although my vision was to create a whole wall, 3 of varying sized did the trick. The background and floors were decorated with palm fronds, (cut and sourced by yours truly). And lastly, I utilized upward green lighting to enhance the fronds and create shadows to make the plants seem even larger.

Below is from A. Very Red Xmas ||. The whole warehouse was decorated in the most obnoxious holiday fashion. There was so much going on that not many photos of the decor were even taken. Santa's mall photo-op area was a hit. Wrapped presents, red lights, gold and red upholstered throne, a TV Yulelog, giant poinsettia's and Bill Burg Santa himself.
